Cuba is a Shofar Nation

May 26, 2026

Central to the Call2Come vision and strategy is a prophecy we received many years ago about seven Shofar nations. These were nations with a special mandate in which the Holy Spirit would blow through the nation, and it would release a sound like the trumpet of God among the surrounding nations. Since 2018 Call2Come has been working in Cuba, with many prophetic assignments, public speaking, building of apostolic relationships, and the development of a prophetic council. Whilst we continue to pray for the mighty outpouring of God’s Sovereignty over the nation, beneath the radar the prophetic streams are flowing like rivers. Yesterday, I received this word from Markos (who leads the work in Cuba), and have his permission to share it with you here, for prayer and encouragement.

His Voice came to me, firm and deep…

“Be moderate and sober, for a false table has been prepared, full of delicacies that seduce and attract the eye, inviting you to sit at it. But know this: that table has not been prepared by Me. How will you know? Because you will eat and you will not be satisfied. Eat of Me and look to Me. A soul satisfied in Me glorifies Me.”

And it was here that I understood that the Lord is inviting His bride to fast—from the Hebrew Tsum, to cover our mouths to other delicacies, including technological ones, in order to consume Him and consume Him fully, like the Passover lamb moments before the Exodus and Israel’s deliverance from the yoke and reproach of Egypt.

Likewise, there is a parallel between these days we are living in—moments before our deliverance—and the glorious wedding at Sinai. Consume Him and look at Him. When we lose our delight in Him, we give room to idols. Listen… everything we enjoy more than God is an idol. Idols steal the delight that only God can give, and they generate dissatisfaction in the soul. An idol is everything that Satan raises up in hearts that promises to satisfy but does not, such as money, pornography, fornication, physical and digital adultery… your imagination.

But God wants you to learn to enjoy Him and to understand that enjoying Him is a biblical mandate, as Psalm 37:4 says: “Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.”

”Tear down the idols of the heart; learn to be satisfied in Me.” His voice returned, fresh and deep.
Listen to His voice… look at Him. Intimacy is learning to look, to contemplate. Because only those who delight in Him can worship.
Maranatha.
