Dear fellow warriors and Bridal company of the Lord,
What a time we are living in! With wars and rumours of war, famines, pestilence, and the tumult of nations, it’s not hard to connect our current times with what the Lord taught us in Matthew 24. These are the birth pangs leading up to the culmination of our current era and His glorious return as our Savior and Bridegroom King.
We live in a noisy world with so many things vying for our attention and the relentless treadmill of modern life can leave us exhausted and disoriented. Amidst all this chaos, it’s easy for our spiritual sensitivity to become numb, and our hearts uncoupled from the intimacy that awaits us within the inner chambers of our hearts with His abiding presence.
Psalms 46, is a timeless reminder of God’s sovereignty and our refuge:
“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging … Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” Psalm 46:1,2,10
In the midst of the escalating chaos, God remains our unwavering refuge and strength. Even as the world trembles, He remains faithful, His presence our anchor—for nothing can separate from His love or vigil over His Bride. In a world offering many alternate narratives of reality, even within the prophetic community, what seems to me at least, a diverse “cluster-bombing”,
it remains as crucial now as ever to anchor ourselves in His Word and let its truth guide us through these turbulent times.
Despite the challenges, let us not lose sight of the intimate relationship God desires to have with each one of us. The inner chambers of our hearts are a sacred space where we can commune with Him. For this is our primary call, to attend His Presence. Surely, here, we will hear His voice for ourselves.
Not the clamour of external voices but One that echoes from within, this is our essential lifeline, let us not be absent, for there, in our pre-occupation lies our peril and root of malady.
“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”” – Psalm 91:1-2
Where is this “secret place of the Most High?”. He is not far from any one of us, not too distant that we can commune. Indeed, in each accepting heart, the Mystery of the Ages dwells.
Let this first be our foundation—it’s time to refocus and rekindle the flames of intimacy with our Lord. Let’s stand firm in the promises of God. Be vigilant, discerning the times, and let’s pursue a deeper relationship with our Bridegroom King. May we be a light in the darkness, knowing that our God is with us, and in Him, we find our strength and peace.
Maranatha,
Mike Pike
